Northern Cardinal

Cardinalis cardinalis

Revelation 4:11 - Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.

These were some of the first to come to the feeder.  We started  June 2018, with a mature female and male and two juveniles.   The juveniles left and  the one couple stayed throughout the rest of the year.  2019 There were two couples but only one cardinal fledge and a cowbird fledge that didn't make it. As of 2020 the four are back and we await this year's fledges

January 2019  a smaller male appeared and later in February 2019 a new female arrived.

She appears to have the condition called Leucism .  The count is two males and two females.

By spring we have two couples.  We had a female fledge from each couple but by late summer and early fall the Cardinals disappeared for a short time from the feeder.
As of November 2019, one female and male have returned; though, they no longer visit every day but only a few times a week.

2020 We have the two couples again.  One of the couples comes every day.  The other couple does not  come every day but the male will comes every couple days.  The fourth female we see about once a week.
