If I had favorite birds these would definitely be in the running for top three. We see them in the winter in the morning and evening. They have returned each year from fall-late winter from 2018-2020. Abby calls them the "Bird Mafia," as they sit all in groups close together in the trees looking as if they are having a get together. They chose their trees well as they blend in beautifully.

February 12, 17, 27th 2019:
They came in a very large group of at least eight. It was a hazy day and they did not drink but perched in the tree. Abby took some pictures but the lighting was very poor. We are waiting for the perfect shot as theses are extremely interesting birds. |
December 12, 2018:
The first four pictures (below) were taken very quickly with my camera phone as it is late in the day and as such I was not prepared. Did not see them again until February 12th, 17th and again on February 27th. |
