NICARAGUA
Managua, Nejapa, El Obraje, and Granada.
This was not a birding trip specifically but when you love birds every trip gives you the opportunity to look at the birds' though, I did not have any great blocks of time to do so. I just snapped pics when I could usually in the morning as I woke up between 4:30-5:30 am, one time on a day trip, and one time during a one hour break. I was not in the jungle area of Nicaragua or any of the recommended sites for birding but God sent some interesting birds our way. Pretty sure I also saw a Snail Kite and a Hoffmann's Woodpecker that are not pictured (I missed the kite altogether but had a picture of the woodpecker taken by accident when shooting another bird but can't find it). See below for my bird pics (plus a few scenery and other creatures). I had to edit the parrot pictures from the Volcano more drastically that usual as I was not prepared for them to come flying out of the volcano when they did. Still, our God is so wonderful it overwhelms me! Most of the time I saw the bird because I heard it first. On the Lake though I had others telling me where the birds were...mostly Abby...thank goodness.
