You can click the picture and flip through the galleries.  We live near a golf course and there are several bodies of water near us.  The Hawk sits in a tree one over and two blocks away from our house.  I believe he can see the golf course and both bodies of water.  Believe that this is his "hunting grounds."  He has another tree nearby he perches on which we haven't identified yet as there are days he will fly nearby but not land on his "normal" tree.  He perches on his "normal" tree about once every week.  All of the birds send the alert when he is near by silence or calls.  During the day even when you can not see the birds there is usually chatter or singing from the trees.  When the hawk is very close, as in flying nearby, it goes completely silent; however, when he sits in the tree they carry on as normal.  This is why I sometimes see him in flight; when I am working with windows open and the birds go silent I run outside.  We also look at the window to his tree.  After a very experienced photographer saw where the tree was and remarked that it was a hard shot to get clearly.  I feel better about the difficulty getting good pics (also bc mostly Abby is on campus when he visits making me the designated photographer).

The red-tailed Hawk disappeared for most of the spring and summer but as of fall 2019 still sits nearby once or twice a week.

February 16, 2019.  Spotted in the air the same day as the Eagle.  We were initially not sure if it was the Red-tailed Hawk again or a Juvenile Eagle (which are brown for the first four years of life.)  

February 10, 2019.  It landed in a tree in our yard but we weren't fast enough.  Abby was able to get this as he left.
