These Chipping Sparrows comes in the fall through winter each year to our house. The first year there were two adults and five juveniles. Their favorite area is the bushes cloest to the house. Even when we don't see them we hear their songs.

When they were first here we had trouble getting a count. It wasn't until one rainy day when they all came at once that were were able to count.

I think that when they leave the house sparrows move into their nest or to the general vicinity. It seems that when the Chippies appear the House Sparrows leave and vice versa.
