A Towhee first came to our backyard on June 23, 2018. I snapped a couple of very bad pics with my camera phone (see below). I looked diligently in 2019 and never saw one come. In late February 2020, one finally returned and has come periodically since. Additionally, Abby saw a female below the balcony and snapped a few pictures. At first she did not come to the feeder. Later she would come every couple days. The last week of May, both the male and female started coming daily and staying longer. The male has the black head and the female has the brown head but both female and male have the rust colored undercarriage.
