This very cute songbird came to our backyard in late winter 2020.  He is migratory and does not breed in our area so we will have to wait until next winter to get more pictures.  I say "he," as male and females are identical except for the bright red crown patch, which you can just get a tiny glimpse of in the pictures.  

This patch does get bigger, but is often concealed.  We (at least one of us) will have to put very strong glasses on to get another glimpse of this bird next winter as they are very tiny only about 3.5-4.5 inches.  Luckily, their song is extremely loud compared  to their size.
